Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms", "Terms of Use") carefully before using the http://rpredictordb.elixir-czech.cz website ("rPredictor", "Service" or "Website) operated by Laboratory of Bioinformatics, Institute of Microbiology of the CAS, v. v. i. ("us", "we" or "our").
By accessing the Website, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who access or use the Website. If you disagree with any part of the terms then you may not access the rPredictor.
You are allowed to use the Website to study/download stored records via provided user interface, predict RNA secondary structures, study documentation and download prediction algorithm's source code.
You are not allowed to try to break the security of the Website, restrict functionality of the Website nor exploit it for any illegal activity (including, without limitation, try to access undocumented URL, foist own GET/POST headers or cookies, and overload the server with too many or too large requests).
We may terminate or suspend access to our Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.
All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity and limitations of liability.
Our Service allows you to download RNA sequences and predicted structures ("Prediction") together with additional information. We do not claim any legal ownership on the Prediction, thus you can freely copy, modify and redistribute it, however, please consider to reference us whenever it is possible. For ownership rights of RNA sequences and additional information, please see attached References and ENA, Silva, RFAM and NCBI Taxonomy records for corresponding accession numbers or taxons.
Our Service also allows you to upload RNA sequences ("Input") and download results ("Output"). It is your responsibility to own rights to the Input. By uploading the Input to rPredictor you will not transfer ownership rights to us nor give us any rights to reuse, modify or redistribute the Input. We do not claim any legal ownership on the Output, thus you can freely copy, modify and redistribute it, however, please consider to reference us whenever it is possible.
You can also download source code of the used prediction algorithm. The source code is distributed under Apache Licence v. 2.0.
Our Service may contain links to third-party web sites or services that are not owned or controlled by Laboratory of Bioinformatics, Institute of Microbiology of the CAS, v. v. i. Laboratory of Bioinformatics, Institute of Microbiology of the CAS, v. v. i. has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third party web sites or services. You further acknowledge and agree that Institute of Microbiology of the CAS, v. v. i. shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such web sites or services.
The materials on the Website are provided "as is". Laboratory of Bioinformatics, Institute of Microbiology of the CAS, v. v. i. makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties, including without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights. In no event shall Laboratory of Bioinformatics, Institute of Microbiology of the CAS, v. v. i. or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption,) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on Laboratory of Bioinformatics, Institute of Microbiology of the CAS, v. v. i.'s Internet site, even if Laboratory of Bioinformatics, Institute of Microbiology of the CAS, v. v. i. or a Institute of Microbiology of the CAS, v. v. i. authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
Any claim relating to the Website shall be governed by the laws of the Czech Republic without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Activity on the Website is logged by default logger of Apache2 webserver and by Czech node of Elixir. This loggings are forced by grant terms and cannot be omitted. More detailed activity on the Website is logged by a default Nette's logger in the case of unallowed attempts to access undocumented URLs or invalid queries. This is due to security reasons and your activity will not be logged if you use the Website in accordance with the Terms (see section Usage). Usually, error no. 404 means that your activity has been logged.
Undownloaded parts of Search queries are stored for one week. Input of Predict queries are stored during prediction process only and visualisation of the output is stored for one week.
The Websites uses cookies to match users with their results and to store user preferences.
Please note that a connection to our server is not encrypted and thus can be eavesdropped.
